Meet the team
The agents behind Dubner Real Estate Group
In a lot of real estate the person in the advertisement is not the person who shows up. Here is exactly who you get, what each of us actually does, and the one phone number that reaches us.

Michelle Dubner
REALTOR® · DRE #01496647
I have been selling homes here since 2004, and I have built this business on relationships, results, and doing right by people. That sounds like a line until you watch how a transaction actually goes sideways, and how much of it comes down to whether somebody was paying attention on your behalf.
I am direct. If a house is wrong for you, I will say so, even when saying nothing would be easier and would pay better. I would rather teach you what I know and protect your interests than sell you on anything, and I want you to get to the end of your move without ever feeling like you were figuring it out alone.
I keep training, every year, because this business changes and nobody should learn on your transaction. I hold a degree in business and I studied economics, which keeps me tuned in to what is happening in the world and how it lands on real estate right here. I am ranked by RealTrends in their 2025 America's Best Real Estate Professionals list, in the top 1.5% of agents nationwide, and I am a Platinum Award winner at Equity Union. The awards are nice. What they really mean is that a lot of families trusted us and then told their friends.
Jon Dubner
REALTOR® · DRE #02118617
Jon has a degree in accounting and spent nearly twenty years working as an accountant before he came into real estate. That means the person reading your closing statement has spent two decades reading numbers for a living, and he finds the things that cost people money: the fee that should not be there, the credit that was never applied, the figure that quietly moved between one estimate and the next.
He is the calm one. When a deal gets loud, he works the problem instead of reacting to it. Inspections, appraisals, lender deadlines, the paperwork that decides whether a transaction feels handled or feels like a scramble: that is his side of the business.
He has been licensed since 2021 and has been an athlete his whole life. Ice hockey every week, a softball league, golf when he can get out. That is where the team mentality comes from, and the competitive streak.
Together
One way of working
We have four children, and we have raised all four of them here in the Santa Clarita Valley. They mean everything to us, and everything we have built, we built to provide for them. That is the reason we treat your move the way we would want ours treated.
This is not something we do on the side. We have an office in Valencia and a team behind us: a buyer's agent, an assistant, and a transaction coordinator whose whole job is making sure nothing in your file slips. Twenty years in, we take this as seriously as anything we do.
What working with a husband and wife actually gets you is that nothing falls between us. There is no handoff where your file becomes somebody else's problem, and no version of this where one of us assumed the other one had it. We talk about every client we have, and we both know where your transaction stands.
If you are thinking about a move, give us a call. No pressure, no pitch, just a straight conversation about where you are and what makes sense next.
Why it matters who actually handles your move
Real estate is one of the few industries where the person in the advertisement is often not the person who shows up. You meet a name, you hire a name, and then a coordinator you have never spoken to handles the transaction.
That is not how this works. Michelle and Jon lead every listing from the first conversation to closing day. On a purchase you may also work with Stephanie, and you would meet her before anything started.
It matters because the hard parts of a move are judgment calls, not paperwork. Whether to counter or accept. Whether a repair request is reasonable or a probe. Whether a buyer who looks strong on paper can actually close. Those are not decisions to hand to somebody who has never seen your house.
Let's talk about your next move
How we split the work
Michelle leads the strategy and the conversations. Pricing, marketing, negotiation, and the part where somebody has to tell you the truth about your kitchen. She has been licensed since 2004 and has spent a lot of years and a lot of money on coaching to keep getting better at it.
Jon watches the numbers and the moving parts. His background is in accounting, and the financial and logistical side of a move is where that shows: the net sheet, the deadlines, the lender who has not sent the docs yet, the thing everybody forgot.
Most clients end up working with Michelle and Jon together, and with Stephanie on some purchases, without ever having to think about who does what. That is the point.

How to reach us
Call or text 661-219-5517. Michelle answers the phone, and she books the appointments, so that number is the fastest route to a real answer no matter who on our team ends up doing the work.
